Fahd Alsaleem, a Saudi PhD candidate who is supervised by Prof. John Thompson and co-supervised by Dr. David Laurenson, has won a prize for giving one of the best two presentations in the festival of the radio science (FRSci-2017). This event is organized by the International Union of Radio Science (URSI), and was held in the University of Bradford on the 5 December 2017.
Fahd’s research focuses on Communications for Autonomous Vehicles Using mmWave Bands.
More than 20 PhD candidates came from different universities around the UK, including the University of Cambridge, University of Bristol, University of Edinburgh, and the University of Manchester to present their work. This event is a great opportunity for early-carrier researchers to discuss their work and receive feedback from their peers and the event organizers.
