2018 was the 150th anniversary of the University of Edinburgh’s Regius Chair of Engineering.

To mark the finale of this significant anniversary, the School of Engineering and the Royal Academy of Engineering are bringing together the Scotland-based RAEng Chairs in Emerging Technologies for a special panel debate to explore the future of engineering.

The Royal Academy of Engineering’s Chairs in Emerging Technologies programme supports global leaders in their fields, helping to transform their pioneering ideas into fully commercialised technologies with important and widespread applications.

The panel

The event is the first of its kind to bring together the four Scotland-based RAEng Chairs in Emerging Technologies:

  • Professor Jason Reese FREng FRSE
  • Professor Susan Rosser
  • Professor Brian Gerardot
  • Professor Colin McInnes MBE FREng FRSE

The panel will be chaired by Professor Mark Miodownik MBE FREng.

The programme

  • 5.30pm: Registration

  • 7pm: Networking drinks reception
  • 8pm: Close
